Veterans Service Officer:  George Messier

Hours of Operation--Call office for hours.

Purpose--gives information to all Wallingford and Meriden residents who are eligible for Veterans benefits and refer them to proper agencies, as needed.

Assist veterans, widows, dependent parents, dependent children by completing applications to obtain federal and state benefits.

      *  Disability
      *  Pension
      *  VA Hospital treatment
      *  Burial allowance
      *  Requests for headstone/grave markers

  Administers the State Soldiers',  Sailors' and Marines' Fund. 

       *  Medical expenses and health insurance premiums
       *  Assistance with rent, mortgage interest expenses, oil, electric and water     
       *  Emergency weekly assistance
       *  Burial expenses
