FOR THE TROOPS

VFW Post 591 collect money for Operation Uplink, a calling card program sponsored by the VFW.  We have adopted a couple of units  that are from the State of Connecticut or have ties to our members.

VFW Post 9965 in Yalesville is seeking donations of items for its care packages for US troops stationed overseas--items can be dropped offf at the post from 1-9 p.m. daily at 424 Church Ave in Yalesville.

East Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department will serve as a drop off point for the Care Packages for Marines Project. Items may be brought in any Tuesday to the firehouse at 2 Kondracki Lane in Wallingford. A complete list of items may be obtained at www.thecarepackageproject.com/needs-list
